A place for everyone

Martin Place has been at the heart of civic life in Sydney for more than a century, constantly evolving to reflect the growing city around it but consistently a place to connect, to celebrate, to do business.

The Sydney Metro Martin Place integrated station development is the next chapter in the story of Sydney's civic, cultural and financial district.

On arrival at Martin Place Metro station, thousands of daily visitors will experience vast, natural light-filled atria , bringing life to the expansive public spaces above. CBD workers, local visitors and tourists heading to the nearby shopping and cultural attractions will enjoy diverse retail, dining and other lifestyle options that enrich and enliven Martin Place and contribute to its ongoing reinvigoration.

Macquarie, which has supported emerging Australian artists for more than 30 years, is working with Sydney Metro to incorporate public art across the precinct. Recognising the exceptional heritage of the area, the development includes the reinstatement of heritage art, and the integration of First Nations cultural design principles throughout the public domain and 1 Elizabeth.

The new precinct will be a deeply connected, vibrant and diverse place.

Welcome to a place for everyone.

The connected heart of the city.

Experience the design and vision of an integrated transport hub and commercial, retail and dining precinct.

At the heart of the new precinct is a metro station, integrated with the existing train station, that will become one of the busiest public transport hubs in Sydney.

And it's only a short walk to the museum and gallery district, Pitt Street and Castlereagh Street shopping, and the rejuvenated southern CBD.
